New release ALeX 3.8 is out with many optimizations and improvements. IS ALeX
can now export data in OpenDocument format.
September 2009 -
IS ALeX was put into operation in BPO, s.r.o. company
to support its bussiness activities and to manage its project documentation. Large
amount of historical data was conversed from existing applications.
March 2009 -
New release ALeX 3.6 is out. IS ALeX can export data in Office 2007 formats DOCX, XLSX using both user
interface and PHP API.
December 2008 -
New module Jobs is out. This module allows e.g. to periodically send
emails with list of new documents to concerned users.
October 2008 -
IS ALeX can check consistence of metadata and files.
User interface allows to change localization language at runtime.
September 2008 -
New release ALeX 3.4 is out. New features include ability to
synchronize users and roles with LDAP server database when using the LDAP
autentization scheme, and XML API to simplify communication with custom client applications.

New release ALeX 3.2 is out. The new features
include roles for better user management, improved
filters and PHP actions together with
PHP API for easy yet powerfull customization.

IS ALeX stores more than 250.000
documents (45GB) in EXCON.

New release ALeX 3.0 is out. The most important
new feature of this release is support of international
encoding UTF-8. Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabian and
others are no problem any more.

New release ALeX 2.4 is out. The new features are e.g. document search
and user authentication using the underlying web server.

IS ALeX was presented on the Steel structures conference in Hustopeče. The
talk focused on management of project documentation of large projects in IS ALeX.

Now, IS ALeX allows to define computed
parameters. Much faster filter dialog.

Many optimizations for all supported database
backends: MS SQL, MySQL,
Oracle. Huge performance boost when
working with tens of thousands documents in a single folder
while using MySQL database.

Automatic upgrades system implemented to make IS
ALeX upgrade easy.

IS ALeX is able to authenticate users using an
LDAP server. New bulk update feature
allows users to set parameter values to a set of nodes in
a single step. Finished configuration of Workflow
for PRODECO.

IS ALeX is able to manage document attachements and composite
documents. The composite documents feature was designed to help manage CAD drawings
and drawing spaces in a natural way.
May 2007 -
IS ALeX can be used with Oracle database server from now on.
April 2007 -
User and administration documentation is available in Czech and English.
February 2007 -
Company EXCON put into operation the
Subprojects IS ALeX application. After migrating the data from the replaced system,
more than 150.000 documents (20GB of data) are deposited in the
company's IS ALeX.
December 2006 -
Configuration of the Subprojects application completed. The system will be
put on to manage the project documentation to financially evaluate projects, and to divide
earnings among the concerned subjects. The application will replace
the EXCON's existing unsatisfactory system.
November 2006 -
Application to keep track of processed work
configured for a law office. Employees report work they did
for customers, while the boss generates invoices based on the data from employees.
September 2006 -
Localization of IS ALeX completed. The user interface speaks now Czech and English.
Extending the user interface with other languages is easy.

IS ALeX web pages feature a Live demo.
